Martin Ward

Martin Ward is currently working on a Ph.D in Latin American literature at the University of Georgia. He received his MA in Spanish literature at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He generally translates from Spanish to English. His areas of research include gender and sexuality studies in 20th and 21st century Latin American literature with a focus on the importance of gender roles and inequality and how they can affect the development of sexual identities. He also studies literature written under Latin American dictatorships and the representation of body politics, specifically the representation of queer subjects. He enjoys travel literature and works from time to time on his own travel stories.
