Katherine Capaldi is a freelance translator, working from French and Spanish into English. She has an MA in Translation Theory and Practice from University College London and a BA in Modern European Languages from the University of Durham. Her passion is history, and most recently she has been working on texts about the French Resistance and the centenary of the First World War.
She first visited Peru in 2004 and since then has dreamt of returning to the country which so inspired her imagination. For now, she sits at her desk in Oxfordshire, translating Peruvian stories with her dog ‘Inca’ asleep at her feet.
