Andrea Reisenauer is a freelance translator, proofreader, and writer currently finishing her MA in Translation at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Spanish and English, during which she also studied abroad in Spain and Italy. Her translation work has included texts from Spanish, Italian, and Catalan, including works by Peruvian writers Jennifer Thorndike and Alina Gadea. Her current Master’s research project examines the reception of Spain in the United States through literary translations and film adaptations. As a translator, she hopes to help bridge the unequal cultural exchange between the United States and other world literatures.
